I just got a new Picco .26 Maxx for my Revo. I ordered a few O.S. #8 Glow plugs for it when I bought it because they were recomended by the site that I purchased it from. I noticed that the thread depth of the O.S. glow plug is shorter than the Traxxas ones I have for my 3.3 motors. Does anyone know if the Traxxas glow plugs are ok to run in the Picco? Also, any suggestions for a quality medium to med. hot plug for it? Thanks in advance for any and all help..

It really depends on the nitro content you are running for the plug temp. I normally run cold with 30% nitro. I would be careful running long plugs in the engine since they might contact the piston and cause damage. Not worth the risk. I would give the OS #8s a try and see how they work for you.

I thought they were all basically the same just set up different for different heat ranges. I was kind of nervous when I saw the difference in length. I have what seems like a dozen Traxxas plugs around since we have 4 Revo's and just wanted to make sure that if I need one I can put one in the Picco. I'm not crazy about the O.S. plug.. Any other ones you guys would recommend?

OS 8's never worked well for me, pretty much hated them. I used O'Donnell 99's with great success, and I am currently using Dynamite Platinum #4's in all of my non-turbo rigs. They have easily been the best plug I have used to date. I consistently get over a gallon of trouble free running from the Dynamite's.

I'll have to check and see what the LHS stocks. I'll keep those in mind. Thanks.
