I have a 2.5 T max. I just bought 2 new glo plugs and the first burnt first run and i burnt the old ones real quick. I'm using the ez start controller. Dont think its running to lean. I havent had this thing but a week. The carb settings are ste back to factory. The nearest hobby store is to far to keep going there and getting plugs. What I'm I doing wrong? Shouldnt they last longer than this?

What plugs are you using, and when you take them out when there bad, what do they look like on the bottom, Clean and white, or oily and dirty?

I got them today. #3232x Glow plug/ super duty long medium. Thats what the package said. The plug looks just like it did when I put it in

Its not oily or anything? white? If it looks like it did when you put it in, your probably running to lean. I suggest you get a temp gauge and keep the engine temps around 250.

yeah it looks like it did when I put it in. I can actually see where its burnt on the last plug. I'm going try to Richen it up some. Where can I get a digital temp guage besides a hobbie store? Autozone? I'm way to far from a hobbie store.

Dont know if its ok to use this post for this or not. But when I get the plug problem figured out I want some after market parts. Whats out there to make this thing faster.

So I installed a brand new glow plug this morning and richen the motor some. The glow plug burnt and the machine didnt even start. Is my ez start burning them up?

Wow! I never had that issue with an easy start. Is it just frying the coil?

Take the glowplug out, take a new glow plug and plug it into the lead wire for the ez-start. Ground the base of the plug out on the engine head at an angle so you can see how hot it's getting, then hit the start button to watch it. If it's your ez-start and not something with the engine, you may be able to tell that way. It should light the coil up to a nice bright orange. If it does that, then goes "poof", you'll know it's your ez-start causing your problems.

What fuel are you running?

Ok I figured out whay I was havin problems. My easy start controller went bad and was putting all the voltage to the glow plug. Instead of the 1.5 volts or whatever. I just bought one of thos hangar 9 glow drivers. Works alot better. I dont use that glow plug wire. I still use my easy start to turn motor over.
