Glow Plug Help - Please, please...

I have a Revo 3.3 and cannot figure out why I keep burning plugs. I have run about 1.5 gallons through the engine (following break in procedure) and have been through 12-15 plugs. I cannot keep a plug long enough to tune this thing and I am ready to box it up. I have attached images of the last two plugs that I blew, the darker one got me 3 or 4 tanks, the lighter one didn't get through 1.

You are running way too lean. I can see it from the pics.

Also...what brand of plug are you using? If its traxxas then just GET SOMETHING ELSE!

A McCoy MC 8 plug should be good. I've had nothing but good luck with McCoy plugs.

I am using the Traxxas 3232X plugs. I thought I was too lean as well, but I am getting plenty of smoke and fuel out of the exhaust.

by those pics I'd agree that you are too lean somewhere, either on the low end or the high end. When you are running your truck do you do a lot of wide open passes or do you run thru the lower rpm's a lot? How is your acceleration?

When trying to tune it, I run several passes all the way to wide open. As far as acceleration, it is not as snappy or smooth as I thought it would be. It never pops wheelies.

I bet your balance is off a little. maybe too rich on the bottom and too lean up top
