I have a Du-Bro Kwik Start. I have since 98-99 and it still holds charge for a few days. Have 2 versions a short on for my .12R and a long version for my TRX .15. I dont know what you have or if they still make the ones i have. Hope this helps some.

i' ve heard of people using a d-cell ignitor , do they put out moire power than others? sorry , i know didly squat about batteries and volts and crap like that.

I use the Dynamite sub c version with the meter on top, and I swear by it. The meter is great for determining if a glow plug is bad or the cell is dead. Also if you have a sub c pack that craps out on you you can pull the pack apart, and use the remaining sub c cells for your igniter.

now thats what I'm talking about , I'm going to check that one out for sure thanks nitro

I second the Dynamite metered starter; I have one and a Racers Edge version. Pop a 3000mah cell in them, and they'll last for days on end.

I am using the Great Plains glow ignitor with meter. It will usually last several days on one charge. Never had a problem with it and I think it was around 20 bucks on tower hobbies.

Hanger 9 / Dynamite with the meter

or what i like the most

the Hobbico hot shots

i have a glo igniter called a "Ni-Starter"
its 13 years old and holds a charge for 2 1/2 weeks

Here's mine...works every time...

Left to right, front row: Racers Edge Metered, GS Racing AA, Dynamite Metered
back row: two homemade starters; one is a C holder, the other a D.

And ol' faithful:

A 12v Gel Cell incased in a wooden box with a carry-all section, with an XTM Glow panel and cable attached. I use this one when doing the first tank of break-in.

good ol racers edge metered is what i use. mine held a charge for about a month and still had enough juice to start my truck once. unfortunatly, thats about all the juice it had.

Not sure that is having me beat or not....I have one...you have many. If quantity is the measure, then you certainly do have me beat. If efficiency is the measure, then I have you as I only need the one.

As for your break in glo-ignitor, I like it. Looks nice and powerful and trumps mine for batter size. :D
