Thanks guys. The only part that sucks so far is that I can't get my wife to give it up just one more time before the boys are down for a while. LOL She is in there paying the bills currently and I am watching A Christmas Story on TNT!

The worst part so far was that when I went for my pre-op last week, the doc came in and asked me all sorts of questions about how sure I was and if my wife was ok with the idea. Then all in the same breath, he told me to drop my draws and he quickly grabbed a hold of my boys and went through the whole proceedure. NOT COOL! I don't think I can watch, or participate, but I will be relieved when it is all done. I have a weak stomach so I am probably going to dream about a new Baja and hope it goes quick. I might even bring my latest issue of XRC and try not to think about it!

Savage, I hope it is not as bad as it sounds... I wish you the best as well. Hey at least you can ask me for the truth before you get to the 12th! I will level with ya!

Ameboa... thank for the insight... I hope it is only hurts for a few days.

You know what guys... I think the worst part is the fact I have to wear tighty whities for 2 weeks!!!

Oh.... and Hunter... that was funny as hell right there!!! My wife was the one who eventually suggested it as a real solution after I had brought it up a few months earlier.

Damn Bro! You'll put your eye out!

just try not to sneeze!!!

I went for mine on Dec 7th last year. ( talk about irony ) One of the local stations here plays Christmas music, all day every day, starting on Thanksgiving. Just how in the hell are you supposed to be jolly when some one with a knife is going after the boys? I did, however, get a little time to myself (a valuable thing with a new baby in the house) to just veg in front of the TV. Of course, there was the whole icepack the nuts were resting on thing to go with it. Don't worry about it, it ain't all that bad, certainly not fun by any strech of the imagination, but not that bad. It just feels like 10 minutes after you have been kicked in the nuts for a couple of days. As for sympathy from the wife, and I quote, "I just had a 5lb bowling ball crawl out of me, quit your whining!".

Good luck Tom! My wife wants me to get this procedure too but I have been stalling for a while now. She let me know that once the new years rolls around she will set up a consult with a doctor.

I'll be waiting to hear some feedback on this.

I am watching A Christmas Story on TNT!

Thats a kick ass movie!

Wuss! Record your voice today, see if it goes up a few octaves after you see Dr. Hackemoff!

Good luck Tom, I hope all goes well and they don't cut too much off :whhooo:

Maybe now you will stop lifting your leg on the corners of the furniture, and chashing the mailman down the street.:hehe:

Sooooo whats the word how are you doing today???

Thanks guys, I needed that laugh!!

I am hanging in there. It was not too bad. The 3 needle pricks to the balls didn't feel great, but after that, all I felt was a little tugging. The smell of them cauterizing my tubes didn't smell to good... and the sight of smoke rising from my balls was a bit disturbing.. but all in all it was not bad. Start to finish was about 30minutes. Now once the novicain wore off.... it felt like someone had just kicked me in the balls... not terrible pain... just an ache that doesn't go away. I had to lay on my back all day yesterday and I have to stay off my feet as much as possible till tomorrow. After that it is just take it easy until the stitches heal. Not as bad as I had thought. You have to wear tighty whities and have gauze wrapped around em for a while too. The upside... my wife brings me anything I want, I am getting some much needed PS3 time (The Force Unleashed rocks!) and I get to watch football all weekend long. Not a bad trade off.

Thanks for asking about me guys, I am glad I am being thought off.... and made fun off... but at least I am getting thought about!:D

Tom

The most funny part of it all is there was four people in the room working on me...two male two females. The one that prepped me up with the beidadine was a young female about...22 or so and she asked if I had any problems with her doing so.
Let me see... pretty young girl cleaning up the boys? Well...no actually go ahead. So she said don't worry I have seen a lot of them so....I replied.. So.... you say you have seen a lot of d*ck in your day huh? She just replied "Oh god that is not what I said!" But one of the guys in the room corrected her..Yes that is exactly what she said. She just grins and rolls her eyes.. Yeah OK whatever! So she starts to work and I look at her and make eye contact and say" You know....normally by the time I get to this part of a relationship I would have at least have offered to buy you a drink." Again the room turns to laughter. After that it was just no holds barred. So the second female shows up to the room and is standing by watching. So I asked her what her job was...she just smiles and says she is the receptionist. Hmmm...not sure what she needed to be there for but hey join the party right? So I tell her that normally by the time the boys are pulled out I would have at least offered to buy her a drink. Again more laughter. After all was said and done the Dr said that I was one of his better patients because I guess a lot of people go in there and won't talk or even make eye contact. Good times right? They said no "activity" for two weeks afterward......damn there must be something wrong with me....I only made it two days.

It has been almost 10 years since I have had this done, with NO problems at all.It got me out of some drywall work that weekend. I was VERY young to get it done(23) but with 3 kids I DID NOT want any more!!!!
She had the last kiddo at HOME, and since she was at home and not the hospital, I got it done.
I always say it works just fine, but the swimmers just dont swim anymore!!

It does feel strange to put ICE down there.....

The pink is actually called saddle sore pink, lol. So DNF Blue or Saddle Sore Pink will work fine. He is no longer elligable to run the Ballsy Brass balls or Cocky Chrome. :D

Glad to here you are recovering ok, don't forget to bag it up the first time you get with the misses you may still have a few swimmers in the reserve, at least thats how my buddy ended up with kid # 4, LOL!!!!!!

Yeah, you definitely want to "clear the tubes" several times and make sure to go back for the followup appointment where they check to make sure they cut the right tube. It's not often your Dr. prescribes playing the skinflute so to speak.

You may notice some twinging pain for a few months during any uh.. vigorous activity but that'll go away as well. Glad it went okay.
