pesonally i would go with pioneer all the way if your on budget and if not get some kicker solobaric woofers!

The problem with going with SB woofers is there too deep,I'm not even sure that hifonics atlas is shallow enough, but if it is then i would go with something differn't like a pair of 8's.

Shadey, I have a 2005 Honda Accord V6 coupe. no nav system, but has xm radio, and 6 disk in-dash (single slot) cd changer. They make a mp3 player for it, but I would lose my center storage bin and it's very nice wood-grain cover. The stereo is pretty nice, a new set of speakers would do wonders. But I really want mp3 capability. Too bad someone doesn't make a SD card add-on that would integrate with it.....

I'm so f ing confused,

change plans budget trying to keep around 400-600

i need a

deck
amp
sub
6x9s
6 1/2s

i just want some bass not alot like some of the beotches around here. headaches.

so i thought about 8s or mabye just one 10. I'm thinking a twelve might just two bif for me.

i got it down to alpine or pionor for deck. but not to sure for the rest.

Alright,a 12 is not do-able,if you have a backseat tank, then there's no chance unless you move it.get a 8,i wouldn't worry about 6x9's and 6 1/2's,that's a poop load of mid/high for that small of a space,it would be overwhellming, and getting two good setups with a amp will take you to 400. a decent sub would be about $60,your deck's is what's going to rape you,not to menchion all the wires, everything you buy will affect your sound, you could buy high end poop, and terrible cables, and get terrible sound, the higher end cables the better, give me a couple min's and ill try and rig up some stuff to see what you could get in that range.

$981 not including cables and what not,pm shadey ntc3,he own's a shop and is getting rid of stuff, see if he could work with you on some of those item's and see if he can get stuff for cheaper for ya,all those things will make you thump and sound good.

no problem, when you get your system, send me pic's,i wanna see how the stuff looks in person.

no problem. it be next month truck is getting rebuilt. then electronics then uplostry to cover all the screw ups. lol

this might be stupid, but say for the speakers just the 6x9 and 6 1/2s u need a coponet amp right or wat type of amp is it. somthing like nitro picked out.

Alright when you getting a amp,you don't want a mono amp, those usually are best for subs because of the massive watt's they throw,a 2 channel, should run 2 set's of components, either that or my minds lost, wich right now it could be either,i hope somebody corrects me if I'm wrong,i shouldn't be,amps go by channells, component amps are probablly low watts,i dunno i dont look at them.

st clean out your pm's.

Ygpm,i dunno if ill still be on i have to go pick up a kid and drop the other at cheerleading practice.

This is a nice deck, I have this one, and for $158 it is a great price for what it is. Depends on what you want from the HU. Personally,I like Alpine and Eclipse. That will help keep the cost down. I am not a big fan of those square subs. The amp does not HAVE to be a super high wattage for the sub, it all depends if you want to run 1 or 2. Bridging a 2 ch amp will give you a higher wattage than just what it says.
That 400x2 amp is overkill for the components. Not a bad price though. How is the Hifonics stuff nowadays?

Hifonics stuff is nice,I'm not a big fan of the square subs either, but they aren't bad,not very efficeint though, they don't quite hit as well as rounds, but he's getting more square inchs for a smaller space, the hifonics 400 watt and would be set at 4 ohm I'm sure wich should be 100x2 finding a amp not to go over that,is kinda hard,i looked and this amp is suppose to be really nice.

Are you guys on crack? have you heard the square subs?? One of my best friend has a 15" L7 with a Alpine V12 subwoofer (Which puts out about 600W RMS) and he hit 152 db's last year in a daily driver F150. Them subs are 1000W subs, so it was only about half powered. The only other single sub I've heard louder than that was my DD and that sub was over $800 and was powerd by 18 Memphis 1000D amps!

Eclipse is allright but is wayyyy overpriced. (the subs are junk) and Hifonics is kinda a generic brand, kinda like a MA audio or something on that level. Just like in Rc, Audio is TOTALLY ya get what ya pay for.

give me ur budget and I can plan a system for you, hows that. I will use a pioneer headunit, one set of componets 61/2,sub and amp.

I'll take a look into it for you I am sure someone makes one!

He said his budget was 400-600 but I'm not sure what would give him highest quality in that budget, any suggestions because i may use the same setup in my blazer.

I can also advise both alpine and pioneer, pioneer is obviously going to be the cheaper option and usually sound great.

Also I have a 2004 10" L7 and that baby pumps, I am not really into the whole piss of all your neighbors and make everyone elses rear view mirrors shake poop anymore so its a bit much for me but for anyone who says they do not thump they have obviously not been a victim yet :)

If his budget is $400-$600 I would say to get a Kicker Vr 10 inch subwoofer $90, Rockford Fosgate 250a1 amp ($150) Infinity 6X9's ($119) and Infitiy 4x6 plates for the doors $90 and spend the rest on a Pioneer deck. You can get a decent one for around $200-250. It isnt going to be a competition setup, but youll get some nice sound and I think youll be more than happy with it.

I hear a lot of people dissing the sony stuff.....to someone like me who isn't going to stick the thing on a computer analyzer, what is it that makes Sony suck???....I'm not blasting my stuff so the people in Cuba can hear it.....

this post wasn't meant as a slam, I'm just curious what makes Sony suck to alot of you car audiophiles
The sony decks actually aint to bad, but they seem to worry more about the looks than the features of the deck. And I've noticed they seem to skip alot easier over bumps than a typical deck. The component speakers are pretty bad. Sound really pingy, and cheaply made. There subs are a joke. a 10" woofer sounds like a 8", there 12" sound like 10's and its just a really thump sound instead of a bump. If that makes sense. And there amps are even worse. They advertise a 1000 watt class d amplifier that in no way in hell actually pushes 1000 true watts. also a good class d amp will never cost under $500, and that have one for just over $200. Might be a decent amp for a single sub of even highs, but thats pretty sad that a supposed class d 1000 watt amp can run highs without leaving them in smoke.

The "explode" series is suppose to be there elite series and the stuff is total crap. Again the decks are fine for everyday drivers with stock speakers, but if your going to spend the money to get better sound than stock, its not the company to go with.
