maybe i'm going against the grain here but i'm putting my Revo back to stock in the matter of reverse and the 2nd steering servo....lots of ebay places had the parts for cheap..so i'm gonna do it all..for a fun basher i think reverse will be cool...and for the big a$$ wheels and tires i bought i need a 2nd steering servo..am i now ousted from the group? ;)

Absolutely not, i have both steering servos on mine and i just replaced my reverse switching servo (for the 2nd time), so no ur not ousted from the group, alot of ppl have said to me "get a FOC it will save you alot of headache", but i just say NO i want my reverse and i am not gettin rid of it

hehehe...cool - i just bought a bunch of stuff - few ebay sellers had the linkage, the y cable and other stuff - got a high torque steering servo for a steal for like $8 - and the micro servo for like $10 - couldn't pass it up - and i just ordered a 1600 mah pack from tower to make sure i have enough juice to keep driving for a while...thankfully i have a NiMh charger to charge all this shiznit....now just have to wait on the 3 channel transmitter auction to get the whole deal...i gotta stop bying stuff! :(

oh and Rob..i see you are in PA..my cousins live up there...we migh have to GTG one day and talk Revo's in person ;)

well slap my a$$ and call me judy ;) i figured out my running problems..and my Revo went for ok in my book to damm friggin sweet! how? well...i took a good look at the carb on friday night and what did i find? the bolt was loose so the carb was leaking air...the LSN was friggin 4 TUNRS OUT!! And the HSN was like 4 1/2....i was like WTF? Took out the carb and cleaned it and sealed it up and really got it mounted right. re-set the LSN and the HSN to factory settings...and did some other stuff. result? 4 complete tanks of fuel through it without stopping..and a HUGE good time in a contruction site with my father in law..i was climbing everything, jumping everything and doing some sick doghnuts in the dirt....it was actually so dusty and dirty i got my air fliter clogged and it bogged down the motor..but by then i had my fun and was dirty myself :) don't think i've ever been able to run a Nitro car through 4 consecutive tanks without stopping before...so this truck has got my love...and with all the junk i have on the way for it...it will contiunue to be for me...just sharing :)

Hells yeah man cheap stuff is great. I have the 1600 MaH reciever pack and i love it, much much more run time than the stock 1100.
Yeah what part of PA are they from????

well it is funny...yesterday at the last tank i started having some issues..it wouldn't accelerate hard or shift..combo i think of a ton of dust gumming up the air cleaner and the battery pack getting low..so i cleaned it off when i got home and charged up the pack...took it out today and it ran fine..but ran into another issue..the slipper clutch wasn't hooking up...i have never messed with one of these before...so all i did was stick a small screwdrvier through the front end of the shaft with the hole in it..and held onto the nut at the end near the motor and tightened it up...and then it pulled REALLY hard and shifted great...can anyone give me some pointers on this? how tight should this be? do i need it get it all the way down/tight and then back it off? if so how many turns? if the slipper clutch goes bad how hard is the replacement? any upgrades? right now it is pulling like a train and shifting into 2nd sooner..and i dig it..but don't want to burn it out..help please?

They live in Harrisburg Rob..where you chillin?

Dan

as far as the slipper adjustment, i have mine tightened down to the point where you can just barely move the slipper pads on the plate, and they are EASY to replace, i have an entire new set just in case and i could have it replaced in less than 10 minutes, and i don't believe there are many if any upgrades for the slipper, but teh stock traxxas one works great,

Harrisburgh is about 4 hrs from me but we could meet half way or sumtin if you do make it to PA

are the slippers known to get loose over time and slip? seems as if mind did that....45 minutes of straight running in some serious off-road dirt and sand and stuff i think did it...but i tightened it up and i was grabbing hard enough to lift the front whels off the ground on pavement....i just don't want to tear it up...
