What i really need to know is can i get a RTR buggy with big motor (not a tiny.21)
I also want with reverse and atleast 2 speed.

I was thinking maybe get the hyper 8 and get the stuff I need But thats alot of knowledge i dont have as to what i need to get.

I am 34 My son is 7 1/2. i will be getting him a cheapo buggy off ebay or something for the $125- $150 mark.

And my self between $350- $650.

ANY AND ALL HELP APPRECTIATED

Well, to be honest, the only way you're gonna get a really big engine, two speed, and possibly reverse is with an MT, such as the Savage by HPI.

Buggy's tend to only have one speed, forward only, and engines that range in the .21 to .25 area in RTR format. However, the Savage comes with a .25, and has the option for a three speed transmission, and a reverse module. And, it falls right into the midrange of your spending goal.

Plus, it's tough as nails.

The new Ofna line are now coming with the 28 size. Try Ofna. There is also Sportwerks that carry a 26 size. Jammin may also have the 28 but I am not sure. Cen Matrix has a 26. That is all I can think of at the moment.

The best RTR all around buggy for your dollar is probably the Ofna Hyper 7 PBS imo. It comes with a Mach .28 engine which is more than enough power for a buggy.

If you are dying to have reverse and a 2 speed, HPI Savage or the Traxxas Revo are probably the way to go. If you plan to just bash around go with the Savage, if you plan to do some racing go with the Revo.

I will check those out but arent they trucks and not buggies?? I am thinking i am going to have to get a kit and build it to 2 speed with reverse..
the .26 or .28 motor will be ok i am sure.

I looked at this

is this what your talking about?? its got a big motor lol..

it doesn't say if has reverse but i'm sure it does it loks like it will take a beatin.. and not a bad price..

Buggies with 2 speed and reverse DO NOT EXIST. If you want those you will need to go with a monster truck.

What buggy does your LHS carry? It's always good to have a local source for parts.
