I'm not sure if I understand this correctly or not, but as far as gear ratios go...

The closer you get to 1:1 the more top end you will have...

The further away from 1:1 you get the faster acceleration you will have...

Can anyone confirm this?

More teeth on a bell clutch means closer to 1:1?

I am going for top speed...
 
Check out the Revo section and look for the gearing chart, it will give you a good idea of gear ratios. You are correct, the lower the number the more top end you will have. Just divide you spur by your clutchbell to give you a good idea if your running something with 3 difs, if your running something with a tranny you'll need to know the gear ratio's in there to come up with the final drive ratio.
