I had some problems with cracking tanks on my t-maxx, Like doing wheelies and flipping over backwards, landing on the tank. I used longer screws and some small pieces of fuel lines. Putting the fuel line under the tank as a cushion giving some play. Just putting that out there if anyone needs it.:)

You might want to invest in a roll cage. RC Solutions makes some good ones for the T-Maxx. The roll cage will protect the components mounted on the chassis.

I had that problem with my t-maxx as well. Found out that the majority of my issue was the rear shock tower hitting the back of the tank on "not so perfect" landings, which then cracked the legs off it.

Even after realizing that, I still broke them and gave up on that tank for a different tank mounted where the receiver is, then moved the throttle servo towards the rear to give me more room. Never broke another after that.

when i got my maxx it was used, and the tank was cracked in a few places. what i did was a total hick plastic weld job on it. :D

i busted the cap of a rattle paint can and melted strips of that plastic into my tank with a soldering iron on full hot. it was about as pretty as mr. t on the toilet, but it did the trick.
