Futaba r2004gf reciever basic question

I have a futaba 3pv controller for my RC8T4E and a futaba r2004gf 4 channel

I put the stearing servo in slot 1, the ESC in slot 2 not battery. and my auxilary fan in the ESC slot on my XR8 xerun g3.

simple question dumb question. it all works but wanted to make sure i was right before i set it and forget it.
