Futaba 2.4 receiver with 2.4 spectrum

hi,
is it advisable to use a futaba 2.4 Ghz receiver(Futaba R617FS 7-Channel 2.4GHz FASST Receiver) with the spectrum transmitter(DX7 7Ch DSM2 Air)

as i have one receiver extra which i a planning to use in my new model Extra 330 and bind it with my spectrum.

please advise.

No the Futaba FASST and Spektrum 2.4GHz systems are not the same. The receivers and transmitters aren't interchangeable. You'll have to use either a Spektrum receiver or Futaba transmitter to make that work.
