sad but true, i managed to fry my reciever at the bash in ny. i landed in this puddle of water and it was all down hill from there. i ordered a new reciver for $80. i'll certainly take waterproofing more serious from now on.

anyway, in the box with my new reciever is this odd thing. it's a plastic tube that's about an inch long and tappers on both ends. I'd guess that it's only 1/4" around in the center section. written on it is "jr propo" or something like that. it looks like it may hold grease or something.

does anyone know what i'm talking about and what it is?

yeah. i will open paint and draw a picture pixel by pixel. the way the cavemen did it before digital cameras. (mines at home right now) i had the reciever shipped to my work.

i attached a pic. best i can do at this point.

oh yeah i forgot to mention that the book for my radio makes no mention of this tube and there is no doucmentation in with the reciever. i have a facny box but no instructions.

looks like a supository to me. If it isn't that, it might be some kind of sealant or water guard.

?? Sniff it ??

Yeah I would def follow that advice from Mr Tuna Finger himself...NOT...umm no thank you teach, I'll take the zero!

it's a little screw driver to adujust the frequency on the reciver. my wife knew what it was right away... own3d

i tried to sniff it but it got stuck in my nose. that was an embarassing trip to the ER....
