i got my new powerplant in my truck its a wasp.18 and it fast but

not as fast as i thought it would be i dont know if it is the

trunning i did or what. I raced a 2.5 maxx today and it kicked my

butt. I dont know why but i thought it would be faster. what do i

do? Then i put brand new batterys in it and it all of a sudden

took off full throttle and i couldnt steer i couldnt brake or anything

i hit a tree and climed it like 10 feet up when i hit it then it

crashed down and didnt break a thing. Any reasons why this

would happen ? oh yeah my gearing is 52/16 and the maxx is 72/18

Any reasons why it beat me? oh yeah i have terrible acceleration
too.

Check you throttle linkage. If that is fine, reset needles to facory specs, and tune from there. You might have them a bit ut of whack and be running lean..

Did you break it in properly? if so how much fuel has it seen? My XTM .18 didn't get crazy power till like the 6 tank, now its getting better every day.

AS for the batteries, they were either dead from the factory, or you put them in backwards, OR a plug came un-done.

you have to let it get a FULL breakin because the breakin doesn't end at the first 5 tanks you put through it. It isnt usually fully broken in till you put a full gallon through it
