fuel tube and fuel return tube length

I'm currently using a shorter fuel return tube than the fuel tube can that cause a problem when running the engine.
I see in the HPI baja 5b manual they use the opposite a longer fuel return tube than the fuel tube.

I looked at my marder and the return tube is equal length to the fuel tube, i will change it to the same length tube and try that.

As long as the tubing connects and isnt tight enough to cause pinches where it needs to bend then it should be fine.

i changed it with a new same length fuel tube & return tube with a new tank grommet & fuel tank filter, It should be ok now i just have to drive it.
