Believe it or not, I'm unsatisfied with my $3 AliExpress fuel tank. It's way too hard to blow fuel through it, perhaps it's the cause for the engine running lean. My plan:

What if I evade the entire fuel pickup system inside and just unscrew this fuel line connector, drill a hole in the circle down on the picture, and glue it into there? I will also melt the old outlet together to create the "vacuum"

Will this work? Won't the sides be too thin? Should I perhaps glue it into a corner?

Have you actually determined that the pick up is at fault? Have you removed the fitting and blown through it all individually?
My concern would be adding enough material to the side of the tank for the fitting to not flex and rip out. The corner might be the answer.
The corner might make it harder to seal too.

The pickup has to be at fault, if I open the cap and blow, it's quite easy
Is the fitting threaded so you could make a flange for inside the tank? Could seal and strengthen it that way with a few washers on each side! 👍🏻
Yeah washers are a perfect idea, it's indeed threaded. If not too hard, I'll also try using locknuts, that will definetely do it. Thanks very much👍🏻

Just think it thru! 😉
Too late😁

turns out that (luckily) the original fuel pickup was indeed the cause. Now it's very easy to blow fuel through this tank, although there might be one problem: it might not take ALL the fuel out the fuel tank.

Edit: I didn't even have to use glue, the fuel tank plastic is decently thick but very hard, so there's no way it'll back out

Nicely done! How fast does it go??? 🤣🤣🤣
I'm happily surprised the tank was thick enough for a good thread/seal!
😎👍

What is this tank on? Just curious. I applaud you for determining the issue and finding a solution to resolve it, good work 😎
It's not the original tank, the previous one leaked, so I'll have to make it fit in the T2M serie 5000.
Thx😁
