last november i bought some trinity monster horsepower 20% fuel but i only used like barely any because i can't get my savage to run with this fuel because i normally used traxxas top fuel. so i was wondering if the fuel would still be food. i put the seal back on it and it has just sat under my work bench.

I got some fuel at a car swap meet. A gallon and a starter box for 2 bucks. I tried the fuel in a older rc of mine, that the engine is on its way out. It ran fine so I use it in all of my rc's. If its not sludgy, it should still be good. As long as it was sealed.

ya i sealed it off and it looks fine. i was just wondering because i have no use for it so i was going to sell it to someone i know for like 10 or 15 bucks

yeah, it should be just fine.. Especially since it's close to a full jug. But the other thing is... you should be able to run your savage with it. You would just need to change the tune on your engine a tad. Traxxas fuel seems to be significantly different from other (like nitro content) fuels. Any change in fuel brand or nitro content will require a carb adjustment.

It should be fine. When you sell it, just make sure to tell him it's not food.

Damn, I'm still laughing till it hurts. Thanks for the slip of the finger. It made my day.

I had a gallon of heli fuel opened and used for 1/4 of the tank and then seal with it's cap and left it like 4-5 years (first baby was borned). When I went back and used it on the heli, it has no problem from the start until empty. I heard that you have to seal it since it absorbs water and sit it away from heat and direct sunlight. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Nope, you're spot-on. Just make sure the cap is on tight, and it's stored in a cool dry area away from sunlight.

Hey Rolex stop.. yer killing me here...lol ......by the way how are your ribs doing? Jet fuel taste fabulous too......nitro...not too bad. Not my drink of choice mind you. If you do get the blue stuff...it looks better under the blacklight.

As a mechanic I dont think that nitro in my eyes could be much worse then rust and brakekleen. That stuff is bad. I had a peice of metal rust to my eye once. That sucked.

lol, yeah. My current project, sorta related, I gotta get a transfer case fill plug removed. Darned thing is stripped (the allen hex, not the threads). Dremel to the rescue, lol.
