I have a problem with the plunger on my fuel tank.
The problem is that it doesn't move the fuel through the pipes!
All it does is push the fuel through and as soon as you release the pump, the fuel comes back through the pipe!!??
What am i suppose to do???

Fuel shouldn't be going through your pipe at all, but through the fuel lines. Sounds like you have the lines on the wrong nipples. Typically (don't know what car you have) the fuel pick-up nipple is on the bottom of the tank the pressure nipple is on the top. The fuel line from the bottom nipple should attach to the carb. and the fuel line from the upper nipple should attach to your exhaust pipe.

everything is connected right and i can see the fuel trying to get through the fuel line but it just retreats back into the tank once i let go of the plunger

Personally, I'd get rid of the plunger. Just another source of an airleak, which is what you have.

Make sure the tank lid is sealed tight. I'm guessing the seal for the plunger is degraded to the point it's leaking air, but it's not a show-stopper.

Try this. Turn your RX and TX on. Set the trim on your throttle a tad to open the carb up. Put your finger over the exhaust stinger but DO NOT put your glow plug heater on. Give the pullstarter a few yanks (while keeping your finger over the exhaust) and watch the fuel line to the carb. As soon as fuel gets to the carb, take your finger off, put your glow plug heater on and it should fire right up.

Rather than waste the time (and money) trying to find a new tank, I'd take the plunger out and just seal the hole there with a screw and some Shoe Goop.

I use the finger over the stinger method to prime also. Just be sure to stop as soon as the fuel reaches the carb or you may flood it.

Another option for priming is to use an in-line primer bulb.

The only experience I had with a tank primer was on an LST I recently sold. It actually worked quite well.

it works good, but somehow mine broke. I would say its a bit overpriced, but it works well. You can actually get a sense of pressure of the amount of fuel already in the engine.
