Looking to buy "Answer-RC Fuel Filter Cooler Pressure Regulator" pic included

Now I've read a whole load of different opinions on these...

Some say it should be fitted between fuel ine and carb?

Some say it should be fitted between exhaust and tank?

Some say they don't work? etc etc.

I'd really like to hear from you guys and get your opinion whether these are a good investment or not.

Thanks in advance :)

They are a waste of time if your tank already has a filter inside, they can also cause a restriction in fuel flow and I would not put anything between the tank and exhaust pipe.

My tank doesn't have a fuel filter inside, so would you say it's still a waste of time?!

If my tank has a stone filter I do not run a inline filter but my tanks that have no filter I run a big daddy filter , as for a inline air cooler or a inline fuel cooler I never run , if it 90 out side and your fuel is 90 how much would it really cool the air or fuel , I was out bashing one day and was hot out 108 out side for the hell of it I tryed to get my engine temp lower then the heat of the day and I got engine to run 105 , ran like crap but was 3 degree's cooler then the out side temp ,as long as you have no air leaks or other problems I belive 85% of your engine's temp is controlled by oil% and nitro% and your tuning skills and inline coolers will have very very little effect or none at all IMO

So I take it the consensus is that they are pointless but can't do no harm although pro racers do use them. If they are only useful in giving extra fuel time then it's pointless, but then the flip side to putting longer tubing can effect tuning, maybe I'll see how it goes for myself and if it fails which by the sounds of it it's a good chance I'll just use it as a fuel filter :D

I am going to say the "Cooler" is a silly idea that makes no differnce. If you want a filter, use a filter. There are a million things out there that people will sell you, does not mean it is any good.

Yea I'm swaying more to just using a fuel filter, have one already but it's not the best so need a better one but may just buy this one for the sake of using as a fuel filter only as it serve's that purpose too, seems to be pretty much same price as normal one's.

The second parts says "As a pressure stabilizer on the exhaust return line, this reduces pressure spike in the tank making for a more reliable run". That is snake oil....pressure spikes? Yeaaah....ok. About that. I personally would just get a big fat Dubro filter or something. Does not have to be fancy to work. Filters are good....but not too sure about that one.

Thanks for all your input I've decided to go with just a fuel filter seems like its the more sensible option :D
