Must be a tuning, gearing or engine rpm issue. All speed is is gear ratio and engine max rpms. You could get the same results with identical trucks with different engines that are the same size. One engine that has 40,000 RPM and the other with 34,000 RPM. It's all in the math.

Hey Vince - How old are you and this c*cknocker if ya don't mind me asking?? I can't stand pony cars and my neighbor just bought a spanking new SVT Cobra (almost 400 ponies..lol) Mustang. He and I don't get along well but I'm not going to tell him that his pony car handles like ass and generally sucks. Their's this word we have in the english language called Tact that this guy talking chit about your Maxx apparently is lacking.

I can smoke a .26 Savage with a 2.5 Maxx and really smoke a Savage .26 with a SIrio .18 powered Maxx. This is with 72/20 gearing in the Maxx and the higher gearing then stock (can't remember exactly off hand) in the Savage. I'm staring @ a Savage SS kit that I'm going to get together soon. Both are great trucks but the Maxx needs allot more money invested to become a "rugged" bash truck. Like I've said many times before, the beauty of the Maxx lies in it's design.

I'm 16. and the c*cknocker is my friend and he's 17. I guess I took the frying pan thing the wrong way. It just gets real annoying when almost everytime i take it out i get ripped on. O and the last time I asked to race him was like september 2003. I did ask to race my friends rustler just to see how much my truck improved. And by th looks of that little sprint, I'd say it improved alot.

Besides, both the pan and the rail style trucks both break. One just looks more traditional than the other. It doesn't necessarily make it better, just different or more lifelike.

They can run on water (boats?), just not on an MT underwater... at least not without a snorkle.

I did the same with my xxx-nt, but it doesn't look anything like a submarine, it's obviously the pan style. Nothing like that sick feeling when all you see is the tip of the antenna sticking out of the water...

many new trucks basicly copy the winning design of the maxx chassis, so maybe a t-maxx replacement will come forth from the all the slightly changed trucks, maybe a company will make a major mod to the t-maxx chassis (and call it their own) and have a flat out better truck than anybody else. it seems the Monster GT may have the maxx running for the title...

Who cares which is the best, Savage or T-Maxx. If your out to have fun and you have fun with the truck your running then i dont see the problem. The problem only comes when you have one of each or your friend has the other and its faster than yours and jelousy starts to creep in. Keep your truck happy and it will repay you ten fold..
