I recently had some free time and decided to use my nitro rc car. It has been sitting in my room for about 2 years now because i didnt have time for it. The problem i am having is the motor is completely stuck. the pullstart wont budge if i pull any harder it will probably break. I was thinking of using a degreaser or carb cleaner in the top of the head but i didnt want to do anything till i got some feedback on here.

sorry if this has been posted by someone else.

Since it's completely stuck,I'd recommend taking it apart and thoroughly cleaning it. You can use carb cleaner or brake cleaner on the metal parts, plastic if you don't let it soak but do not get it on any rubber 0-rings/seals. Or you can just soak everythng in fresh fuel to free it up then assemble and you should be good to go.
The only other possible problem would be the o-rings in the carb. You may have to replace them, maybe not. You'll know when it you run it and how it tunes/runs.

Heat it up and rotate the piston to the bottom. Then tear it apart and inspect it. It either corroded or gummed up with old fuel. It may just be stuck at the top of the sleeve though, that means it's not done breaking in.
At the very least pull the backplate off and look in it to see what's what.
if you are not up to tearing it down and inspecting it, pm me and I'll do it for a small fee. I've rebuilt tons of engines.
