My concerns with your link are this:
1. Nowhere on Fram's site do the even mention RC air filter applications.
2. The product number (hvf20) is not reference anywhere else but on that site. It doesn't index on the Fram site. Nor does a search bring up any reference to that stock # being a Fram filter or even an RC filter except on that site.
And another thing. Much like you mentioned. Sure, it appears his test indicates better airflow. OK. But so far there has been no data in conjunction with that which shows that it filters debris any better than foam. One could argue also that the increase in airflow may be due to a more porous filter material which ultimately may allow larger debris into the engine.
I am open to new technologies, too. I'm sure the foam isn't the ultimate in filtering. But there are inconsistencies in this which don't sit well with me yet.
