Have no idea what years but before lipos came out, we had carpet oval tracks to race on with nicad batteries, the class i enjoyed most was 10th scale pan cars with 4 cells and nastruck bodies, they ran only 2 laps less than the six cell cars and easier to control, when lipos came out this kind of racing dissappeared. Seems every box of rc stuff i bought this past year had a new or nearly new nicad pack included, thinking of nicad 4 cell brushed motor class could be possible this coming winter, certainly affordable, think I'll try 4 cell tomorrow, wonder which vehicle to try it on?
