  1. Bashing
Got a cheap basher GV Dominator (or XTM XTP2 I think, depending on where you are) Absolutely love bashing it wherever I can, whenever I can.

It currently has a Force .25 motor in it and I would like some feedback on the idea of slapping a Force. 32 in it, (because you can never have a big enough engine?) along with a 2 speed conversion kit for a little more top end speed. Yes I know that would be overkill but hey, why have a toy car if you can't soup it up some? Or alot.......:jittery:

What I want to know is will it fit the existing bits on my buggy? Will it be too grunty and destroy my running gear? If it IS too grunty for my running gear can anyone recommend some heavier duty stuff? For example is the stuff on a GV Cage compatible with a Dominator?

Oh and just in case anyone would like to tell me to get an OS Max 30 or similar superior brand engine for my total overkill engine, my local RC shop has Force .32 for $160, OS Max for $360. (I live in Australia) So even if an OS Max is "better", is it more than twice as good and will it out last 2 Force .32's (plus change for a gallon of Nitro)

It's only a basher, I will never race it at club level. Just want to customize the hell out of it because, well, because I can.....

"Coz I can" seems like an excellent reason to me? :flamer: GV Cage comes stock with a. 32 by the way.......

How exactly does one define "a waste" when talking about expensive toy cars anyway? :horsecrap

The only thing your going to do by dropping a .32 in it is give it more torque. A .25 already has plenty of torque for a buggy so putting more in it wont really give you any gains except the ability to break the tires loose easier. Its not really gonna give it anymore top end. If you wanna make the thing faster you should drop a high RPM (possibly modded) .21 in it. That to me is one definition of waste but if you're already determined to do it then I'm not sure why you posted this asking for people opinions.

Lol..thats what i tell my wife when i keep buying new rigs.:hehe:

do they have force .28? i have one in one of my buggies. good motor for what u do an what i do.

I have a used force .28 with a gallon thru it as a spare for when my F4.6 .28 takes a crap in my buggy. The .28 in my hpi buggy is pushing the limits of handling due to too much torque. I did help matters buy installing the buku 3 shoe adjustable clutch and flywheel in it and it made a huge difference in wheel spin for sure.

I agree theres no such thing as to much power go big or don't go at all.

Interesting replies. :ponder2: Thanks to you all for the responses :grouphug:

@ Greywolf: It would be fun for me so no waste involved. :preachin: The main things I wanted feedback on were in the 3rd paragraph. They are called "Questions". :whack:

Have since done some forum surfing and found a post about someone chucking the Dominator 2 speed conversion on a GV Cage which proves the .32 and the Dominator 2 speed kit ARE compatible and the person was very happy with the result. :redbuggy:

@ Outlawbrett: Yes they do sell the .28 as well. It's about 25 bucks cheaper than the .32 as well :celebrate3: Might just have to settle for that since the "coz I can" logic is completely lost on my wife :whip::hehe:

@ Zdragon71: Did the adjustable clutch and flywheel reduce wheel spin or increase it? What I am hoping to achieve is something that can spin the wheels if I floor it at 30km/h. I'm hoping I can spin the wheels on bitumen until I blow a tyre (metaphorically speaking) :jittery: Does the .28 do this more or less?

i put a jp-4 pipe on my force .28 an it really woke it up. actually to much. for bashing its friggin awesome. but i want to race it eventually so have been thinking of getting buku clutch.
