Skipper has decided on 1 of these 22 cars. Lets help him out. please vote which one would be a better vehicle for him to race with. The NTC3 is the Kit version, and the RS4 is the RTR.

nothing against the rs4 . i love hpi and all , but the tc3 is just a better track car

Since the Tc3 is a kit u can hop-up as u build. Plus it's a better track car.

Yea I've been looking at the specs on both, only drawbacks i have about the NTC3 is it uses belts to drive the car, on the RS4, it uses a direct drive shaft, which seems more reliable. did anyone have problems with the ntc3 belts or are they reliable?

how can you compare a rtr rs4-3 to a kit ntc3? your gonna get the 2 speed and you get to buy whatever engine you want, so its already gonna blow the rs4 in speed. and the kit version of the ntc3 comes with some good hop ups i believe and also you can buy some things to replace the stock parts as your building it.

i just dont see how you can compare an rtr to a kit. *maybe* if it was the rs4 3 type SS then it would be a better comparison.

oh yeah, i thought the ntc3 was shaft driven? some one fill me in.

HELLO!!! The NTC3 is the BOMB!! I have both choices and the RS4-3 is just a good ride but the NTC3 is such a well made kit. Even the RS4 SS don't come close!!!
The NTC3 kit has :
1.) cvd's
2.) Excellent brake system
3.) fits a side or rear exhaust
4.) Threaded shocks

I am sorry but the RS4 doesn't come with any of these.
NTC3 all the way!
:smart: :w00t:

Yea I'm going for the NTC3, seems like a good buy plus a great car!

throw on the carbon upperdeck, shocktowers to loose weight and lower the center of gravity, some universal's or cvd's,some shock work, and header porting with a new pipe your ready to race:wasted:

I did all that but no real power or noticeable weight reduction. I would rather spend it on MyNTC3 and make that ride scream!

yeah it is pretty sweet looking but where are the upgrades you spoke of?

I want to do it but the NTC3 seems to be so much easier to tune than the rs4-3 I do like the removeable radio tray via 3 body pins

the carbon upper deck does away with the 3 pin radio tray and ties the front and rear diff housings together for extra stiffness!and it does drop alittle weight?

I guess but I think it helps more with the flex.I t actually reduces the flex. Now I hope we are talking about the carbon fiber. The NTC3 comes with carbon parts already if you get the factory team kit ( the one you build ).
