RS43Drifter brung this to my attention last ngiht as we were ebay hunting......so he gets the credit for the find.

Rs43Drifter kept breaking his diff case tabs/lid where the wing and shock tower bolted on. In his search to find a replacement part/upgrade he found a guy on the XTM boards they makes these and sells them on the boards and Ebay. Theres more than this particular auction so just search for "X-Terminator" and you should be able to find some.

X-Terminator Braces

Heres some pics incase you dont feal like looking at the auction.

Starting bid is always $40.00. Not bad for allt he stuff he sells int his auctiona nd its worth its weight in gold for not having to stop bashing and spend money on a rear diff case every weekend.

yeah I've seen those over at the global/xtm forums. super nice work. for me fixing the rear gear tab breakage problem on my xterminator involved using two t-maxx tie rods and rod ends, a front bumper for a xterminator, and 15mmx3mm hardware. i mounted the bumper on the back of the chassis, as there is already holes there to mount a bumper, then used screws that were long enough to go all the way thru and use a lock nut. then i mounted one end of the tie rods on the rear aluminum wingspan on the wing tower, simply by pushing the rod ends on the span. the other end of the tie rods were mounted by drilling two holes in the bumper, and using hardware to mount it on. now it looks kinda like the wings on top fuel dragsters, how the frame is built up on those. i can push down on the wing tabs were the clips go thru untill the front end of the buggy comes up, and there is zero flex. doing this mod will cost about 10$, and for me has been bullet proof. (without the mod the rear tabs would snap during a mild cartwheel/rear end landing, now I've destroyed flexible spoilers without any damage to the tabs.)

I noticed you have a Hyper 8 Port on your Storm...I'm savign fro one right now....how are you liking it? Sorry for being off topic

Crazy way to fix one problem, lol

haha i know it sounds crazy but if you see how it looks it looks like the tie rods are suposed to be there, actually make the buggy look tough with the rods mounted the way they are. the hyper 8-port i have in my storm i got used...with half a gallon thru the engine when i got it. i run a OS 20E carb on it...never even tryd to run the engine with the stock carb. its mounted to a THS off road pipe. it makes great power, top end is very nice. my xtm with the 24.7 i belive takes it off the line, but it seems the 8-port has quite a bit more top end. it makes nice power at 240 degrees, and with the OS carb runs great all day. i can't tell you about tuning for the stock carb. it seems to really like odonnel 99 cold plugs.

hey thanks a lot for the find...i haven't even broken in the engine yet (going to in like 30 min), but i'm kinda expecting breaking those braces fairly fast...
