I'm not really a fan of hummers, but this little fella looks really cool, has soooooo many ( too many?) features its nutso. i wont be getting this soon but i kinda think i want one

at what point are the features just too much?
The Chinese RC manufacturers love their military stuff. Tanks, vehicles to haul them around, full blown garage sized war reenactment dioramas, etc. In our world, these are scalers. People buy them and paint them up to look like they have been weathered, add bullet holes, whatever. They add lots more detail. If I were looking for one to bash a bit (gently now mayne), I would likely grab this instead...

I've seen one of those up close, they're very detailed but not very moddable nor fun to drive. I'd buy a model instead (and get a proper build experience).

If you really want a super-detailed RC that goes 5mph, looks good on the shelf, and breaks going over a rug, WPL has you covered.

oof hard pass lol

No way I would pay that much for toy grade!
I've never seen one in person, so I was teasing a bit.
I guess I can see how ultra detail on a scale battlefield could be cool.
I figure its like scale trains maybe?
The lack of durability just sinks it though.

I wasn't referring to you directly with my post. Just a general opinion.

So is it actually toy grade then?
I see FMS mentioned here a lot.
At some point I hope to get a crawler of trail truck or 2.
I'm sure I would crash and trash a "light duty" truck quickly!

FMS is well above toy grade, but just shy of rc grade. Excellent in scale details, but typically not great in function and durability.

Fms caters to different crowds so you have to know what you are looking at. They do a lot of detailed stuff aimed more at collectors. But they do have some capable rigs. I like some of thier 1/24 & 1/18 crawlers. I haven't tried their 1/10 crawlers yet so can't speak for them. But some of thier stuff you know is not meant for real performance.

This is the impression that I'm getting for these.
Cool, but not 3s off jumps cool. 😎
I understand the scaler desire for real details on something they enjoy.
I've been kicking around buying a mini z just because I FINALLY found a 70 Coronet body on thebay. ❤️
I will prob never run it.

They're "model grade", very detailed and more sophisticated than toy grades, but they're not great to actually drive.

If you want one just become a youtuber, they give out freebies like candy!
Not likely you'll find me on youtub but maybe I can get on a different platform... 🤔
Model grade. This makes sense to me! I like it! 😎

I've got inexpensive rc tanks that has so, so much more details than this thing and it cost 1/3 less. This thing is sucker grade!
