i instaled my new flywheel today and for some reason it wobbles all over it is tight but when i pull the pull cord it wobbles like the crankshaft is bent any ideas?

Oh yeah i got my clutch bell off today and it looks kind of worn.
If anyone has pics to show me what a worn clutch bell looks like please post

Thanks.Nick

I would take it off again and make sure you have installed it straight. And did you make sure that you put the collet on the crankshaft before you slid the flywheel on?

do you mean the little gold thing if so the package came withe a small1 and a big 1? why? and yes i put 1 on.

Yes, the little gold thing. That collet is designed to friction lock the fly wheel to the axle. If you put one on, you should be good to go. If not, you need one.

As for the wobbly nature of the fly wheel. Are you sure the flywheel got mounted straight? Perhaps the collet you used is not the right sized one for your set up and there might be play.

With the collet in place, the flywheel should be perpendicular to the axle and snug. The clutch nut should tighten it down even further locking the flywheel and collet in place.

If the tip of the clutch nut wobbles when the engine is running, then the axle might be bent.

Other than that, I'd say check the fly wheel for proper installation.

Hmm... if it came with 2 different collets, I'd take it apart and try the other one. They are sortof cone shaped and gold with a split down one side. You may have the wrong one on and it's misaligning the flywheel..
