I can't believe I have lived my life to this point without ever hearing about this product. Everyone seemed to know about it but me.

For patching holes in drywall it is the absolute best thing out there. Doesn't shrink, mixes fast to the consistency you need, dries hard in under 15 minutes, and doesn't go bad because its in powder form. Its a dream come true.

Best use is for filling larger holes and holding backing material in place. It dries hard so its best to under fill and use spackel putty for the final sanding layer. I'm in heaven.

WOW You never seen this stuff!
Fix all is the poop.I have fixed holes in doors with the stuff..You can even make small molds with it..

lol, sound like polly filler imo, but i dunno
for me its the cheap fiberglass option, and its pretty secure aswell

Zandor, you're a scary scary man. BTW if you do make body casts, make shure you start with the mouth and let us know if it realy is fix-it-all. :whip: :hehe:

i use hot mud.easy sand 20 good stuff... oh fix all is just way to hard to sand....
powd2nd.webp

fix all is just way to hard to sand....

Yeah Fix-all is like most other powders, it's portland-cement based and it has a pretty high proportion of P.C. so it dries **really** hard and really fast, with less shrinkage. You want to make sure it's as close to "finished" as you can get it, and as it dries work it with sponges before it sets hard.

Eddy, get a roll or two of fiberglas joint tape, the self-adhesive kind that's not paper but a 1/8" fiberglas mesh and set that on top of the box of Fix-All. It will come in very handy and you won't use as much Fix-All. :D

I read an article on using the sticky joint tape for getting the CF look when painting RC bodies. Ill get a roll.

I'm close to being done with patching larger holes. Isn't it the truth that by the time your done you know all the tricks and products that you "Should" have used... :D
