Okay...I finally fixed my car yesterday(and have fricken blisters all over from the hex wrenches). I recieved a temp. gun in the mail from kx250ryder, and I'm very grateful to him for that! Anyways, I just put a full 145 cc tank through my car and it ran pretty well, and it warmed up today, thank god(The air that is). I have a Force .26 engine and the HIGHEST temp I got was 230 from the glow plug. After that all I would get would be in the 210 ranges. When it cut out from no fuel, I took it in for temperature. In the minute it wasn't running, it cooled down from 210ish to 160ish in a minute!! :OMG: Is this normal, and should I do anything else to the needles? :ponder2:
 
So long as it's running alright and you're getting the performance you are looking for, don't worry about it. 230 is right on, it's when it gets to 270 or higher you want to start worrying about it running too hot.

The engine will cool down quickly, so don't worry about that either.

Sounds like for now on you can tune to weather and motor temp. Mostly it will be a 1/8th or less turn of the HSN either direction to optimize performance. If it bogs with half to full throttle or cuts out, then you are too rich or too lean, respectively. Too lean will also give you high head temps, 270 or the like, so just go by throttle feel and temps and you can always tune for the current condition.
 
The gun will help get you into the "Window". Its a tuning tool to help you find the sweet spot. You will find it most helpful when your trying to juice your mill. As you lean it out for the most power you will know if you have gone to far. If you try to tune by temp alone you will get frustrated. You will find one temp doesn't hold the sweet spot from day to day.
