I blew the throttle/brake servo tonight on the track which of course is the most expensive. But my truck came with the new high torque, digital waterproof servos. I thought those where the best traxxas had. Obviously not. Maybe dirt got in the bearing which does not make sense since its supposed to be air tight. or fried the board . But if i pull on it while operating the servo it wil move as long as i keep goin back and forth, its a bit sluggish though and once i stop moving it it wont move anymore till i force it again. I really dont wanna buy a new servo cause it is the biggest one so it aint cheap. Any recomndations on repairing the servo? or whats a reallly good brand of servos that would withstand torture. I guess i shouldnt of taken that spring for the brakes off, and used antenna tube so my brakes where sharp. but i think thats what caused this. so please et me know about what servo to buy that would be the strongest thanks again guys. Sorry about puncuation guys.

I agree with Phin Fan to point... I have 3 Traxxas Rig's myself & my suggestion is to Call Traxxas & explain what issue you had with the servo & Traxxas will probly send you new one's out & you might not have to invest the $$$ on new servo's since you looking for a quick repair/swapout..

Using antenna tubing instead of fuel line or something else that has some give probably caused a broken gear inside the servo. A replacement set is 4 bucks. There's nothing big and bad about traxxas servos. They all have plastic gears. The 2075 is their strongest servo and cost $25. It's wise to upgrade to metal geared servos when the stock ones fail. This is all stuff a guru should have known long ago.;)

Well thanks guys i have only had it for two months so maybe they will sned out a replacement. As or the guru thing i really didnt pay much attentin settin up my profile. Plus i have a traxxas xo-1 two trex 600 a trex gas 750 and a hpi baja 5 which i have buitl all the helis and rebuilt the baja after it went into a lake. I dont consider myself a guru though. I'm just lookin for advice i have rebuilt servos in the past and changed to metal geering, but i have gone through so mkany futaba servos and stuff that i am tryin to figure out which one would be best. Id say I'm dvanced but dont know everything but i have been workin with all kinds of r/c for about 8 years. I'm gunna call traxxas today wish me luck they send a new one got a baby one the way and already dumped 1500$ with this revo witht the truck and all the mods.

I'd upgrade if I broke a traxxas servo, but if you do call traxxas I wouldn’t tell them that you modified their set-up if you're looking for free replacements. I like my Hitec HS-7975HB in my Revo.
If you want to go balls out you could go with a KO Propo KOP30100 (I just bought one today for my buggy)

If you want super budget for steering servos, I'm trying these in my Tmaxx just to see (there not super fast, but they've got some torque and all metal)

I like PPP servos from "Cheapservoman" on ebay. for 30-35 bucks you can get a 244oz/in servo with .13sec @ 6V, coreless, with all metal gearing. So far its that best budget servo I've tried. it rivals manyof the more name brand servos in performance that are twice the price. Unfortunatly I'm not sure exactly how well they hold up as I've only been using them for about 4 months but I have high hopes for them. Now for throttle/brake servo you dont need anything quite that beefy so Id look at some Savox, Futaba, Airtronics, Hitec servos.

I've gotten traxxas 2070 and 2075 servos for 10 bucks on ebay before. I like to spend my money on steering servos.

well i went out and bought a savox servo these guys mke awsome servos even there lowest motel is all metal gearing and as only 50 bucks and i noticed a huge improvement from my stock one. Thanks for everythign guys

yeah i have noow changed my throttle/brake, and botth steering servos to SAVOX brand. Guys these are awsome powerfull servos. Quick response and really high torque values. they have two different models, like they have a cheeper one and a more expensive one. The only Dference is the more expensive one the casing is orange alluminum and has higher torque but they both are all metal geared , and both have aluminum casings but mine is grey not bright orange. But man the response is so much quicker and more power. Guys you should def look into this brand of servos SAVOX if you dont alreday know of them. Before if i tried turning my wheels with the stockers while holding the wheels, and they wuldnt move now with dual savox servos i can't try and stop the wheeels from turning the only servo left thats stock is the reverse shift servo which i dont use much didnt think i needed to change it until last night which I'm goin to start a new thread about what happened so i could really use some help I'm gunna tittle it with DESTROYED TRANNY thaniks again guys
