All I can say is... Wow! I had so much fun, and the first time out too. There were about 4 or 5 people at the track. About the first five minutes I was there, this guy comes up to me and GIVES me some Proline Bowties, already glued on white dish rims. I was like :O

My entire time there was fun. I spent about 30 minutes out there on the track racing around and trying not to land on my arse end off of jumps. Then, I ran out of gas and nobody had any 20 percent so I was done racing.

BUT

This one guy, his name is Allen, came up to me and asked if I wanted to be his pitman for a while, and I said yes. I think I did pretty good, got to refuel his car and start it one time when it stalled from being on its lid to long.

Then, another person asked if I would like to try being a turn marshal. That was fun too since alot of people were there that were new and I got to run out a lot.

I never realized how much fun nitro could be until you do it with other people who know what the crap you're talking about when you say you got nitro in your blood.

Here's a link to the track where I raced: http://farmershobbyshop.com/

sounds amazing. i havent gotten the chance to run on a track yet, but i do make tracks in my yard sometimes

I was at a local on-road track and was playing with my RC-18r and was getting all the encouragement I could stand as well as advice from the regulars. It was a lot of fun and a real learning experience.

Right on, cooputer. I used to race pretty competitively. I quit racing when the local racers got too uptight about the competition. Looking back on it, the track wasn't all that high tech (light fixtures wire-tied to trees, with exposed wiring).

That aside, it's the people that makes for a great track... The facilities are just the icing on the cake.

You should give it a shot, coby... Just remember, as long as you're having fun it's all good. The instant that you quit having fun, there's something wrong.

I could, but most tracks are far from me, and I'm probably not old enough, haha. Next week is my birthday though, so probably I can XD.

There's no age limits on racing. I ran during a 2 day race against a kid that was 8 years old, and that boy could drive. One wreck, and he would have won.

I also ran with a guy in his 70's that acted like he was 7 (maturity wise).

It's all in the group of people you race with, and how you yourself behave.

Awesome. I'll try to find a nearby track for on-roads. I should've gotten an off-road (Revo or Buggy) because that's the new craze in most people at the LHS.

Alright. I got some CA glue for my tires, and to fix the skid plate that broke off at the track. I glued them and it holds good. I also glued the skid plate and it holds relatively well. It broke off again though when I was out throwing the Maxx around off of a makeshift ramp.

Also, I landed my first backflip. It was about 10 feet in the air when I punched it and pulled a pretty good flip. Landed straight on the wheels and drove away.

Another thing broke off though. The front skid plate broke when the ramp slipped of the green plastic recycle box underneath it and the truck rammed into it full speed. That held well with CA glue also.

And I scratched the crap out of the once-awesome head on the Picco. Small bit taken off but it still made me feel bad lol. Put a crapload of zipties on it for prevention at later times lol.

I think my next body will be more like a Hummer or Jeep, a big box that will protect the engine head a bit better.

You might also want to get a rollcage to prevent further head damage.
