first t-maxx crash

RC Driving Style
Well, this is my first crash with my T-maxx, have only had it for about 2 weeks now. I was driving a little to fast coming back toward the house, showing off more or less. I get close to the house let off the throttle, instead of the truck slowing down it speeds up, and I mean fast, faster than it has ever run while playing with it. I apply the brakes no help, the only thing I can do is watch, the truck slam in to the side of my grandmother’s car. It leaves a pretty good size dent in the bottom of the car door , but the only thing on the truck that is broke is the front skid plate. I have no idea what happened, the only think, I can figure is it broke radio contact or the batteries are weak in the radio or truck. When I ordered the truck I bought a ofna fail safe and a throttle return spring, they didn’t have them in stock at the time of purchase, so the lhs had to order them. Well about 30mins after the wreck, the phone rings and it’s the guy from the hobby shop telling me that, my fail safe, and throttle return spring are here to pick up. Here’s the funny part, I tell the hobby shop guy what happened , and he laughs, he then tells me the that the failsafe and spring came in wed, he said he forgot to call. So I look at him he’s still laughing and I ask him if he thinks it will be funny when I sent him the bill for the repairs to the car door. Lets just say he quit laughing after that. :boxing: Btw I'm a newbie, this is my first nitro vechicle, and my first post for that matter.
 
It was probably weak batteries. You know, one thing to get also is a good rechargable 5 cell battery pack. If you keep it charged before you run it, it'll never go dead on you. The one on my savage seems like it'd last a good hour before my failsafe will kick in due to low batteries.
 
My first crash I broke two a arms cracked a bulkhead. Also I ran into the the neighbor front door across the street from me and busted out the glass. This was at full throttle because I lost all signals and there was no stopping her.
 
It wasn't my first, but it was my worst. By radio wigged out on me and it took off accross a park heading for trees. Wide open, 2nd gear, short dry grass... Hit a tree head on. A big tree. It was still screaming when I ran up to it from about 100 yards away. Clutch was just smoking.

Broke both front bulks, 2 front shocks, smoked a clutch, broken engine mount, broken gas tank, cracked trans case, cracked both front rims.
 
My first crash, I only broke an A-arm. I guess I've been lucky.
 
yesterday was the worst crash I've ever had i lost all signals and my maxx went fullthrottle secondgear down the street it almost hit two little kids and it hit a car down the street i broke all four shocks both front bheads bumpers engine mount and a shock tower it all cost me alot
 
my first crash i hit a porshe 911's wheel, i ran over to the truck and both ends of my truck were seperate from the chassis, . about 10 feet away from each other and all broken, and my body was on the hood of the car. had to spend 170$ to get it running again, but not even a scratch to the porshe.
 
Your first crash was similar to one of my favorites when my freshly modified t-maxx got ran over by a BMW. I was pretty neat because the dude cared less about the fact he had just run over my pride and joy and more about the nearly invisible 1" long scratch on his running board.
 
WOW everyone has had bad crashes i had my first bad crask a week ago and i was racing a eclipse and i was right be hind it right on its a$$ and i hit 2nd gear and it just flew right under the car and my freind was in the car and he stoped cuz he heard it and that made it worse because i was goin prettymuch full speed and it just made the crash even harder but the only thing i broke was half of my cooling head and a big dent in the front of my truck but yesterday i went and bought a mutant cooling head so it looks way better nad i fliped my truck over climbing a hill and it knocked that dent out.......and big jay thats probably the funniest thing i have heard of did you pay for granny's car haha...
