I got lucky on my first crash. i was jumping my sportmaxx w/ 2spd off a like 7 ft high snowdrift, i did it like 20 times. the 21st it cought a wierd edge on the fron and did about 7 fronflips before hitting the ground. all i broke was front and rear shocktower, busted my rear skid, and broke off all my body mounts. The jump was pretty damn awesome.

You, know I posted this, thread as my first crash. Compared to some of you guys, I should have post it as my first, fender bender as Domination, stated. I guess I just got lucky, I don't know. Well anyway's I tried to fire it up this mourning to show a buddy of my the truck, and the truck just reved up like crazy, and wouldn't go in gear, got to looking at it and found out, it had chewed the spur gear up. Now I've got to replace, it thinking of use robinsonracing steel spur gear but, I'm worried, if I do that I might strip my clucth bell, or maybe something in my tranny. So I'm going to see what it will cost me to go all steal or alum. from the clucthbell, through the tranny it self, also go with the FOC conversion. I sure this has been posted before so I'll do a search on it and see what I can find. Thanks for all the replies to my first fender bender. LOL

I'm runin he RRP spur with all other stock gears and its fine no problems

Domination, thanks for the reply. I think, I'll just go with the RRP steel spur gear set only for now, also a hobby shop around here has a Ofna 1/8 Ultra MBX Pro RTR, with the yellow front tires never ran. It was a display model there tring to get rid of for the $300.00, I think I'll get it this weekend if they still have it. I know it doesn't have anything to do with fixing the truck, but hey I'll give it a nice home to come to, plus it will give me something to use when I screw my truck up. LOL, I think that was an excuse just to buy the buggy. I think I'm addicted to nitro.

With the revving problem, you shoudent worry. did the tires spin at all, or when you started it it just sat there and revved really high. if the tires didnt spin, all it is is w/out a load on the engine, it can revv really high and engage the clutch bell. dont worry, just replace the spur. and the rrp is a good choice.

I run RRP steel within the trans and spur. I'm also using the steel FOC. I only have about a gallon or so on it and havn't had any issues. At least none other than bad cold weather.

Sup guys,

I honeslty can't remember my "first" so I'll share my worse.

I'd just gotten my Maxx backtogether from some Drunk bashing carnage. I was doing some HSR's (High speed runs) on a narrow road @ WOT. I was doing a tight turn and went right under my Lil bro's Camaro body kit (LOL). I didn't even put a visible scratch on the Body piece.....

T-maxx Carnage.....I bent the stock Chassis in a perfect V, broke the stock crap Plastic chassis braces, Broke both of the front bulks, bent all four of front shock pins to hell and a slew of other crap.

If your not breaking stuff on your stock Maxx then your not driving it right. If your breaking allot of stuff on your $1000+ Maxx then your not hopping it up correctly and/or you really need to learn how to drive..hehe.

Peace
