Ofna MBX or 9.5 rear shocks should fit, and the failsafe is definately worth investing in and it'll save you- it has for me, it has a certain cut-off point when the battery gets low, not low enough to shut off but enough juice for the failsafe to work. If the battery gets disconnected, well your fault for not securing the wires. :)

As for scale, I'm still baffled of WHY Traxxes put the T-Maxx in the 1/10 scale when 95% of other MTs (of the same size) are 1/8, but then again the T-Maxx doesn't run a .21.

one more time in surround please..LOL yeah it is pretty big yet it still runs as a 1/10! come on!

Yes, the T-Maxx is considered 1/10 scale. When you do the .21 conversion...it becomes considered a 1/8 scale, but guess what...you use mostly 1/10 scale parts. The 1/8 scale rear buggy shocks are the same length as the 1/10 scale shocks used on the T-Maxx. The difference between a set of 1/8 scale buggy shocks and the TRAXXAS Big Bores is in material. The 1/8 scale are just a touch beefier. In the end you can always buy beefier parts for the Big Bores...it is all in the way you look at it and how deep your pockets are.
