What is considered the fastest? Good handling would be nice also

The 2003 Guinness Book of World Records lists the fastest-ever top speed of a radio-controlled car as 111 mph (178.63 km/h) set by Cliff Lett of Associated Electrics. Lett, a Team Associated professional driver and one of the designers and developers of the aforementioned RC10 set the record with a heavily modified Associated RC10L3 oval track racer at Irwindale Speedway, Irwindale, California on January 13, 2001.

111mph world record for any r/c car? that wouldn't seem too hard to beat if you could use nitro or turbine.

are you going to use it outdoor or on indoor carpet? The Pro4 is pretty much an outdoor type car. I have seen the Losi XXX-s Graphite used outside as well as inside. I wasn't too impressed with the pro4 on carpet.

Look at the new Losi JRXS, The TC4 and the Xray Factory T1. Great performers indoors and outdoors. I like the design of the Xray and Losi. Still deciding if I should get either one as well. I already have the Losi XXX-S Graphite+

What do you guys think of the 4-Tec?

The 4-Tec is an ok basher, but it'll never be one of the top racers. To tell you the truth, I can't think of any Traxxas vehicles out there that will ever be top racers. Maybe the Revo, but I don't know.

In my opinion, if you're looking for a good car to race with, go with something else other that the 4-Tec.

In one of the mags they did a head to head shootout of some of the top cars out there. The X-Ray came out on top...look into that one!
