Fastest Electric setup

Definitely a brushless setup and LiPo batteries. The problem is not going to be producing the power, that's the easy part. The problem is going to be setting up a vehicle that will handle a stupid amount of power and put the power to the ground. You're going to have to have a setup on the chassis that will allow you to get traction, and you're going to want to keep the front end down close to the ground. You can get a rediculous amount of power with a nvak or mamba max brushless system, but like I said, it's going to take a lot of work to transfer the power to the ground in a controllable manner. I like the Castle system because you can program the throttle and braking curves, the power curves basically, with a computer so you can keep traction.

A lot of people say the best brushless motor that you run is a Neu motor, and you can run it wish the ESC of your choice.

well traction is not a problem. we wont it to peel out. see this is a project that me and my friend are doing for him.its a show car.

If thats your goal a Novak 3.5 turn combo will do the trick, although they tell you only run 2 cell lipo, I have run 3 cell with mine, and if cost isnt a problem you wont mind replacing speedies.
Dont roll your eyes but the Velenion system from Traxxas is very easy to set up, will run any battery you want to throw at it, and has an extraordinary amount of power, considering its kv rating is low. I have a 3.5 turn in my Bandit with a 2 cell, and my Rustler with the Velenion and the 3 cell doesn't have the top end, although its very close, but will fry the tyres and wheelstand at 3/4 throttle.

OIC, I thought you were trying to go fast. Having a lot of power and not needing traction is a different story all together, and very easy to do. Getting the traction is the hard part, trust me, I'm spinning tires at 30 mph in my rc10T4 when I get on it, which isn't my goal at all. I was wondering if you could run one of the Novak HV pro speedies to get more voltage, but I dont know how powerful the motor can run before it overheats.

i run a mamba max 6900/2S lipo in my firestorm and love it. It doesn't get too hot and i get around 45 minutes of runtime. I clocked it at 48mph on a nasty blacktop road so i am willing to bet it has 50 in it. it has enough torque to shatter spider gears (done it) and i blew half my tire off this past weekend. For me its the ideal combo, good speed, losta torque, and more than enough runtime.

the novak 3.5 (GTB/velociti) runs hot and its just an animal. i have it installed on my TC5. i haven't even ran down the battery yet and i am on my third set of tires......
