40.5 inch 1938 Chris-Craft. And the fun begins.

The box looks real good, now get to work:cool: We want to see the frame work done by monday. Keep os posted as you build it.
 
What ya gonna glue it with? You want the real deal, you know what to do;) ANd varnish? We need to talk:banana:
 
Today is the first day it looks like a boat.
I have about 20 hours into her at this point.

Now I'm having fun.
Building the chines takes some time, I think Ill go watch the grass grow.

Getting farther along today. I got 1 side of the under planking installed.
I’m just starting to see the wonderful lines that make a Chris-Craft so beautiful.

Thats a GIRLY boat! lol - juz kiddin bro! We fish on an old wooden CC. We have to strip and refinish the ENTIRE thing this season coming up. Man do we have our work cutout!

And it wont even look as good as yours will.

Keep up the nice work. Clean and tight as always. I expect no less from you!

Watch them blades! Dont you just hate that feeling of a razor AFTER it has gone through your skin. You know it happened, you just dont know how bad til you squeeze hehehehehe.......
 
I got both sids of the underplanking on, and sealed the inside.

My next step is to trim up the bow and form the nose of the boat from 2 blocks of wood.

Funny you should ask, I'm just fitting some styrafoam for the front and mid sections.

Here I had to make the nose fron a few blocks of wood.

More of the engine hatch.
Have you ever tried to use a mouse with CA glue (Dry) on your index finger?

Your boat is looking real good:) How many hours do you have into it now?

And yes I have it feels kind of funny with the glue on it:D
