If you already have an HPI Nitro MT, just convert it into Super Nitro Rally suspension, add onroad body, 2 speed tranny and slick tyres. The high ground clearance and shaft drive are ideal for street/parking lot conditions^^ :2cents:

I used to run my NTC3 (version 1) as a park basher. I loved it. Ran like a champ as a basher and runs like a champ as a racer as well! I just recently got into racing this season.

The NTC3 is a great car for the beginner to learn and grow with. It can hold it's own in a race and one thing I liked about it is the great amount of hop-ups and support for the associated brand. You can't go wrong with the choice of an NTC3.

That plus version you are referring to is the Factory Team Kit. Great choice! I have always been impressed with the instructions Everything is well thought out and it's very hard to get lost. It even has things laid out for those of us that like to do things "according to the pictures."
 
DAMN, I like their chassis for the NTC3 but $170 is a lot of beans! Nice design for the tank protection as well. Hmmmm, something to save up for when the season begins next year.

Lol, that's right. I did the reverse and ended up with an NMT, but I can always go back to Super Nitro Rally when I feel like it (although it takes time to convert the thing) :D Oh well, it's one of the things I like about HPI cars.

But of course NTC3 is a good idea, just in case he wants to go racing...
 
That BMI chassis is pretty sweet, too bad it's out of my price range. I like how the steering servo is setup too. Plus, you loose all of the upper decking which should really drop your center of gravity. Nice find.

Diver6127 has this happened more than once?? I was thinking about up grading my fusion to the fusion2 chassis do you think it would be worth the effort? On your chassis maybe you could seal up that hole with some shoo-goo?
 
The problem with the stone getting sucked in has happened to me twice. Honestly, the chassis seems to be the same. I compared it to a freind that has one that's about 2 years old. The only difference is the belt cover and stone gaurd. As far as the holes, they are taped closed with vinyl tape. Shoo Goo will be done next year when I start running it more often. Season is closing down here in NYC and I have too many on-roads to really get around to in one day.

710, the link didn't work. But I do know about the chassis that you are referring too. It is a very hot chassis. But I do have a question about lighter chassis. I will post it in a new thread.
 
Same here, link is a bust. I do have a 3racing chassis on my NTC3. 4mm and very strong. I like it but like the BMI racing one better since it has a guard for the tanks built in to it. The one from Hardcore is nice too, the titanium one. Goes for about a hundredas well.
