Never had an on road car and would like to know what the fastest or best car would be? I prefer nitro. I would never race it just fly around parking lots and streets.

i would have to say the the Team Associated NTC3 and that is probably what most people here would say.

Thanks, What is top mph, I want something really fast. I just installed a 2 speed on my XTM X-terninator and it will run about 55 mph on the street. I want this road car to run off and leave the buggy!!

Sice your not going to race and just bash, then get the traxxas 4-tec if it's just speed ur looking for.

I have a schumacher Fusion21. Definately a parkinglot basher. I love it to death but pebbles will make short work of the single belt that drives the front and rear diffs. That is the only reason I got this car, strictly for the lot.

The NTC3 is also good for the parking lot since it is shaft driven. Also good for racing if you have a change in heart. Top speed depends on gearing and engine choice. Also, what kind of speed are you refering to? Blistering speed off the line? (nice hole shot) or overall speed? You can only really choose one or the other to lean towards to. There is a middle ground for speed but as I said, compromise is the key word.

Also, how do you gauge your speed for you XTM Xterminator? Are you assuming it hits 55 or has it really been tested on radar gun or gps? Only reason I am asking is because what we perceive as 55 mph is actually lower in reality.

The fusion states that it will hit over 70+mph but I have yet to see it. I don't have enough room to hit third gear with that .21 engine in it.

You may also wnat to check out the Cen CT4-S.
What are you thinking recommending a cen  there complete waste of time & money it's just a rip off of the hpi cars

I'm glad you feel that way, but I have to object. He asked for a parking lot basher that was fast. You tell me why he couldn't be happy with the CT4-S. For the reasons he stated, in my opinion, its a good car for his needs.

I will have to agree w/ UNCDROCK on this one. The CEN CT4-S is a good car and already comes w/ alot of hop-ups on it. I've seen it in action and she runs pretty nice. If you wanted to race w/ it, I would recommend an engine swap. But if you simply want to bash w/ it, then she will hold her own.

The only drawback I have is that it is belt driven. Bashing in the parking lots = rocks, dirt, and debris; which equals trouble for the belt. Once you start driving in the lots, you will be surprised how even the smallest rock can give you trouble.

Anyway, it's still one to check out.

Later....

Well try getting parts from your LHS no one in this part of town supports CEN

Here in NC. My local hobby store carries a lot of Cen parks. So I'm good on the category.

Hey rock good point on the other thread. Next time I'm in your neck of the woods I will hollar at you usually stop by my boyz house in raleigh

Say Diver6127, about the pebble problem with the fusion did you know that the fusion 2 comes with a completly enclosed cover guard system and you can update your old fusion to this system?? Checkout their August newsletter on their website for more info.

Nitrohead, when I got my fusion (June 2004), it had the cover as well as the pebble guard. The pebble was picked up from one of the holes in the bottom and wedged itself against the diff. Murphy's law strikes again!
