I know I posted about Tamiya paint a bit ago, but disregard that one. I found the color I wanted at the LHS in the Faskolor brand. Several questions:
How much should this be thinned to shoot in an airbrush? (dual action airbrush, matco (made by badger, i think)).
What do you use to thin it? Someone said rubbing alcohol, is this correct?
What pressure? Parma says 70 psi. that sounds like about twice what it should be.
Ok, it was mentioned that this stuff might not be totally fuel proof, what paint to back it up? Tamiya spray in white? (truck will be green and gold, I wanted copper, but they didn't have it at LHS).
sorry for all of the question, I am hoping this new body will come out better than my last attemp.
One last question: is there any color I can mix with the gold to get a copper color? I was thinking red....

Parma Faskolor paint is water based, so thin with water only. I spray the Faskolors at about 30-35 psi.. As far as acheiving a copper color, just start mixing some paint in a spare jar or paint bottle. Just keep track of how many drops of each color your mixing.
Good luck..

I use a color cup on my brush, so I just add a couple drops. Faskolors can be pretty thick, so just experiment with it until it flows out of the gun nicely..
