well i finished braking in my engine today and i was starting the tuning process and i started it and something kept interferring with the receivers. so i waited 15 minutes tried again and waited another 15 tried again then kept trying and it kept just idleing for a few seconds then it would go to wot??!?!? can i fix this or do i have to get a failsafe? and if i do where can i get a good one for a good price? thanks for all the help!!

Your batteries could be weak or you may be in an area with alot of radio interference. Fail safes are really help ful when u loose control because they lock up the brakes as soon as the batteries get too low to perform or any if the connection is broken between the radio and reciever. I've seen them save my cousin's car quite a bit, either way its a smart move to get one.

so low batteries could cause it to rev through the roof? i think i will buy a failsafe this week but i want to tune it this weekend

Recharge ALL the batts and try it again.Low batts cause glitching which makes servos do fun things like get stuck @ WOT and not steer away from curbs and stuff.Get a failsafe too but try again to see if it was just the batts or if you have alot of interference.

i think it has to be the batteries because i was comin out a corner and it started to not steer well and crashed into a wall then i ran up to it and it start goin wot into the wall. so I'm gonna buy some rechargeable batteries and hopefully a failsafe.

I've seen my maxx go over a hill at wide open throttle due to dead bats. The last I saw it was a nice trail of smoke into a forest... that day cost me some $.

even if your Batts. all all good and charged.Check around where you bash and see if somebody has a Nextel phone with 2-way feature.I was running my NMT on saturday in my driveway and my dad walked out side and started to talk to this guy that works for him and my truck went WOT into the street just missed a truck, and it went into the gutter. So now when 9i bash i amek sure my dad has his phone turned off or i am far enuff away.

Peace

Just as a little helpfull adbice to myself , everyimte before I crank the engine I turn ont he reciever and see the rate my wheels on ym buggy turn. If my buggy wheels turn like MT wheels do tis time for a battery change.

My 2 cents, go get a throttle return spring also. double saftey never hurts.

I'm with cajun on this one, get a electronic failsafe - it will return your throttle servo to full brake if your radio signal gets cut - BUT - if your on-board batts die you will need the spring to return to idle

run aways are no fun at all - almost got hit the other day by a 1/8 buggy at WOT - flying through the air too
