What brand of Fail safe should i get? i m planing spend $30 on that.

also servos, what servos can i get with $50....

is servo for speed and for steering the same?

Hi tech servo's are good for the money and last a while. My fail safe I use in my trucks is a duratrax and I have not had a run away since. I also run throttle return springs just incase I loose power at the reciever.

I'm guessing you want to spend $50 per servo ($100 total)? What vehicle are the servos for?

I ran OFNA micro fail safes for years without issue. Saved me more than once.

finally broke my steering servo.(stripped)

i have an ofna ultra lx 2.

ordered ofna micro fail safes. and I'm only planing on upgrading the steering servo to a high torque for now since its broken.

$50 range.. also looking at Savox SC-1256TG High Torque Titanium Gear Standard Digital Servo. i know, its $80... is it a good buy tho?

Couldn't say. I really like hitec 985MG's. Fast, sealed with o-rings, strong and seem to have good life. Whenever I buy a new servo, I him and haw about what to get, but always seem to end up with the 985. $70 though.

Roughly $75 shipped from tower.

.13 sec @ 6V
172oz @ 6V

Can be found a bit cheaper on ebay.

$64 shipped.

This one from savox should be plenty for what you need:

Those are decent servos above. I've had good luck with Ofna and Duratrax fail safes. You also can't could out these servos by Hobbico. I have both and are solid digital servos. Just a re-badged Hitec.
190 Oz for $39
333 Oz for $89

You sure those are hitec? I've never bought a hitec that had white/red/black wires. All were braided yellow/red/black. Futaba, airtronics and traxxas use that w/r/b type though.

The specs on that CS170 are pretty nuts!

The 170 does have the yellow/black/red braided wires. It is a real good servo. I have it is three right now. The you could be correct on the 150 though. Maybe that one did take a Futaba arm. Now I am curious. Anyway I use in a buggy and has prenty of power for the thin tires.

are the hitec hs - 645 MG any good fo steering on a max
never mind i just looked them up there weak

They used to be a basher "go to" servo, but honestly, there are quite a few out there for $50 that are stronger/better for steering a maxx. The 645MG is better than stock, but not a lot.
