Hi recently bought a hpi trophy truggy 4.6 and the exhaust pressure line fixing as come off the exhaust and too loose to fit back on , is there anyway to soldier or fix it back on exhaust without the soldier melting off with the exhaust heat.

Are you talking about the fuel line that runs to the exhaust? If so then just buy some new fuel line from your LHS. (Local Hobby Shop). If you don't want to do that then you can try to put a small zip tie around it.

Not the fuel line the bit the fuel line goes to on exhaust and slides on as come of the exhaust I'm afraid.

Does the nipple screw on? If so and its loose a quick fix may be to carefully wrap some teflon tape around the threads and see if that doesn't take up the slack. I say carefully because you don't want bits of teflon tape somehow getting into the fuel system.

Solder wont work. You would have to weld it on. Doable but people don't usually have that kind of equipment in their garage/ closet.

. Regardless probably best to either replace the nipple with one that does fit right or if thats not an option replace the pipe. If its relatively new, call the manufacturer.

Thanks for all replies , will try contacting hpi first has it happened before engine run in was complete .

if all else fails theres a few things you can do
you can drill/tap and install a different nipple
you can jb weld the nipple back on
you can plug the hole if it winds up too big and drill a new hole to install a nipple,if doing this the nipple needs to be in the same area of the pipe as the previous nipple

To be honest a new stock exhaust is only £10, but it may be repairable.
