What is a good speed control for racing onroad. It will be in a CRC Carpet Knife.I will be using a 10 turn motor. I think the novak GT7 would be good. Can everyone tell me what they thing would be good?

For another $20 you could get a LRP Quantum 2. There is a write up about it in this past months RC Car Action. When spending $140 on a ESC, my wallet would find itself another $20 lighter to buy the trickest piece out there.:preachin:

You can get the LRP IPC v7.1 which is the step below the quantum 2 with no motor limit for less than 140 I use the v7.1 in all my Associated cars for racing. The Quantum 2 is $50 more than the v7.1 with no motor limit.

The difference in price is $25, whoevers pricing you're going by is soaking people on the Quantum 2 for now because they are tough to get. If he was playing around, I'd say go with your idea, he's racing and $25 isn't much for a better if not the best ESC made right now.

I opted for the v7.1 because the power forward is higher and the step up was a big step up and I was buying two ESC at the time.....unfortunately the day I got the track an associated sponsored driver was selling the Quant. 2 for $80 cash on the spot and he had two.....I just put my head in my heads and was like "I wish I had met you yesterday.....sob!"
