well that esc is done the motor has been rebuilt once or twice time for a new combo whats a good one for speed that can handle 3s for around or under $150? this might have been why the esc fail but it never got submerged

Castle sidewinder combo is about 150. I'm sure you can get a Hobbywing combo for that also
