ESC help

My friend has a novak sport reversible esc in his touring car. It was working fine then we switched batteries and it steers but will not go. The red light is on the esc it goes off when you throttle but nothing happens. Put the old battery back on and same thing. Help?

First thing you need to try is starting from scratch and re-programming the ESC to the transmitter if the battery pack is good.

Well that didn't work lol. Lights on the esc are flashing like they should but just no go...

Check your connections and start from scratch. It's all about doing what's necessary when the lights tell you.

Use a voltmeter and first check your battery voltage. If voltage is good, connect the leads to the motor. Have your friend apply throttle (both forward and backwards) to see if the motor sees any voltage. If you see voltage, then the motor is toast. If not, go back and try resetting the ESC again.

Apparently it has a cut off on it.... it works fine now.

I have no idea but I put a pack that i knew was charged on it and bam it went. Hooked the other one up to my charger and it was under 7v lol. Could have been the reason.
