Entry level 1/8 buggy to race

I used to race a jammin a few years back and I am just getting back into nitro r/c. What is a good stater 1/8 buggy to race with these days? I was looking at the losi 8ight rtr but it looks like it got discontinued. The rc8.2 looks nice too. I have had a bunch of ofna stuff and traxxas stuff in the past.

You can still find the Losi 8 2.0 just need to do a little digging.

I think the 8ight 2.0 RTR is a good choice. My son still races his everytime he tries something he thinks he will like better, he always goes back to his Losi as his favorite racer. Additionally parts will be available for it for many many years...and imagine you can find one at a good price right now (<$600). IMO, it's the only RTR that is 'race ready' right out of the box. Additionally, you can 'upgrade' as you see fit to match your current needs. Let us know what you end up with
