I'm looking for an engine to put in my P-51. These are the first 2 I am looking at, the SuperTigre G90 and the Satio FA-91S. Here's where my confusion sets in, unless Satio is a much superior company why would it cost more then the SuperTigre for less performance. According to the SuperTigre website the G90 produces 2.5 hp, while the Satio 91 produces just 1.6 hp. What am I missing here?

The G90 is a 2-stroke engine while the Saito is a 4-stroke. The G90 will give you more RPM but the Saito will give you more torque.

If your P-51 calls for a .90 2-stroke, I would imagine you would probably need somewhere around a 1.20 size 4-stroke. Not sure as I've been out of planes for awhile.......good luck with it!

***EDIT***

Just seen your other post and what Mustang you have. It's a .60 size plane so the G90 would be more than enough power. The Saito on the other hand would be perfect. If it was my choice, I would go with the Saito as I love the sound of the 4-strokes, especially on a P-51.
