i was changing the carby on my trx2.5 and i noticed rust or something like that in the opening of the engine after taking out the carby. is this normal. the engine starts and runs

I'm assuming its on the crank? Mine get a lil rusty here and there. I live in a hot humid area and that makes it rust, the fuel doesn't help.

Is it surface or flaking? Flaking could kill the motor if big enough, surface dhould be fine. A dremel and buffing pad with some 3 in 1 could fix it if you have anxiety over it.

Do you do after run?
